Upgrades for Home Sellers to Consider

What are the best improvements you can make to your home to get a good return on investment?

That’s kind of a trick question because in this market, you don’t really have to do as much. Whether it’s something small or a top-to-bottom renovation, in this market, there’s a buyer for every standard of improvement. Obviously the more you do, the better your ability to scale up and sell at a better price (within reason). Even if you’re just thinking about painting, cleaning the carpet, and doing a deep clean, someone will be there to purchase for any level of difference you make. 

That said, if there’s one thing you could focus on that will almost unilaterally give you a good return on investment, it’s your kitchen. Outside of adding a bedroom or more square footage, the amount you put into your kitchen almost always comes back one and a half to two-fold.
